Why we Independent Evangelical Ministries (IEM) focus on Child Fellowship? How important is early learning? Learning until the first five years has a far-reaching influence on the future growth, happiness, learning achievement, and development of the child. In these last days, our children have easy access to the internet and social media which is affecting our children very badly. The brain of a Child is shaped in the early years. It means that your brain’s functioning; physical, emotional, mental social, and organizational development in your adult years would be influenced by your early childhood experiences. Your learning would either be positive or negative depending on what you go through in your early years. Therefore, child fellowship from the early years is a very crucial matter. A loving and affectionate environment greatly helps the learning and growth of children. Positive social experiences in the early stages of a child result in emotional maturity in the later stages of his life. A child can forget his childhood experience; these experienced still play a vital role in influencing the child’s emotions, personality, and social character as he continues to mature. Proverbs 22:6 prove it by saying, Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. This is a durable way of teaching our children and preparing for the future.

Christian people mostly dream of his child as an apostle, evangelist, and Shepard. They can’t be a good apostle, evangelist, and Shepard suddenly in maturity until Lord grabs them. Children, who are fellowshipped or cared for from childhood, are more shaped for Lord. On the other hand, normal children, who spend his time on social media or in normal society, he will fall into many destructive things like drug abuse, ungodly lifestyle, spiritual darkness, etc. He is very hard to break or mold for the Lord in maturity. Sisters and brothers don’t be responsible for your child’s bad character. 1 Timothy 5:8 tells us, But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. God’s word said that it is your responsibility to nurture your child in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. (See Ephesians 6:4)

This is a small summary of God’s care for children. Anyone who tries to corrupt children’s minds is not only an enemy of God but is also an enemy of our children. Psalm 106:36-38 says about those people who sacrificed their sons and daughters to devils. Do you be like those people? Can you do this with your children? Have you a hard heart for your children? Is the nurture of your child in the discipline no matter for you? Read the bible and see how many times Lord said about child care and nurture in the discipline. It’s not just my and your matter this matter is for our upcoming generations as well.
