History
Independent Evangelical Ministries
Independent Evangelical Ministries (IEM) is a powerful testament to the transformative impact of faith and the dedication of individuals to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Founded in 1995 under the umbrella of One Vision Society, our history began with a remarkable man named Pastor Din Masih.
Born into a family deeply rooted in witchcraft and black magic, Pastor Din Masih’s upbringing was marked by practices that held sway over their lives. His mother, a well-known practitioner in their town, provided for the family by performing various services related to black magic, and all family members contributed to her work. However, this life was transformed forever when Din Masih, seeking personal growth, traveled to Quetta and serendipitously attended an Evangelical Fellowship led by Pastor Bashir Masih.
During this life-changing gathering, Pastor Bashir shared a powerful message based on Acts 16:31: “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” These words resonated deeply within Din Masih, igniting a spiritual awakening that compelled him to give his life to Christ. Returning to Lahore, he faced the daunting task of sharing his newfound faith with his family, particularly his mother, who had dedicated her life to witchcraft.
Despite the immense challenges, Pastor Din Masih persevered in his mission to lead his family to Christ. His unwavering faith and dedication paid off as he successfully guided his mother and all twelve siblings to embrace Christianity, leaving behind their previous practices. What started as a personal journey evolved into the establishment of a home church, where Din Masih, now Pastor Din Masih, began ministering to others seeking hope and salvation.
In 1995, Pastor Din Masih officially founded Independent Evangelical Ministries under One Vision Society, transitioning from a family deeply entrenched in black magic to a ministry devoted to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. His commitment to service and outreach created a ripple effect that reached countless lives across Pakistan.
Until his last breath, Pastor Din Masih worked tirelessly, establishing twelve churches in various locations throughout Pakistan and serving people in over fifty cities. His legacy continues through his son, Pastor Shakeel Din, who has taken up the mantle of leadership, ensuring that the mission of IEM thrives. Under Pastor Shakeel’s guidance, IEM remains focused on its core mission of nurturing faith, planting independent churches, and reaching communities with the love and hope of Christ.
Today, Independent Evangelical Ministries stands as a beacon of hope and transformation in Pakistan, embodying the spirit of Christian ministries that seek to empower individuals and families through the message of Jesus Christ. We invite you to join us in our mission as we continue to bring people to Christ and make a lasting impact on communities across the nation.
