John 1:1 says, in the beginning, was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. This verse tells us what the Word is. The Word of God is God himself. Word of God is our food and water (See John 6:35, 48, 51). One who eat and drink from him, he will live forever. It is God’s promise, and His promise can never be denied. The Word of God is also called a helmet of salvation and sword of the Spirit in Ephesians 6:17.
If we hear and act upon the Word of God, then we are blessed (See Luke 11:28). The Word of God is not like grass which withers and flowers that fade; the Word of our God is everlasting. Everything except our God / Word of God is vanity and a chasing after the wind (See Isaiah 40:08). At one place, Jesus Christ calls mother and brother to those who hear and act upon the Word of God (See Luke 8:21).
At one place, God similitudes seed as the Word of God. (Mathew 13:3-8) in the book of Mathew, Jesus gives an example of four kinds of seed, one which fell on the roadside, birds devoured, other kind fell on rocky ground and immediately sprang up due to no depth of earth, and third kind of the seed fell among thorns and choked by thorns, and the last kind of seed fell on good soil which yielded fruit; some thirty times, some sixty times and even some one hundred times. Brothers and sisters, you also can join us and sow this seed. Your sponsorship may save many and enlighten them, who are living in darkness. Bible says many times, hear the Word of God.
Acts 4th chapter talks about speaking the ‘Word of God’ with boldness. In this chapter, Peter and John present a model of that farmer who sows the seed. Peter and John speak the Word of God to a large number of people. Many of them believed in the Word of God, even the believers come to about five thousand which included just men. Even though they were threatened but they did not turn away. They pray continuously. Even, they were filled with the Holy Spirit. They didn’t stop and speak the Word of God with boldness continuously.
We will see another example that talks about the importance of the Word of God in 1 Kings 13 chapter. In this chapter, we see a man of God who cried against the altar in Bethel according to the Word of God, and Jeroboam putting out his hand out of altar says, “Seize him!” and you know what happened! His hand dried that he put out against him. His hand again recovered when the man of God interceded with Yahweh.
How can we speak the Word of God? Can we speak the Word of God without having the Bible? No, we cannot speak the Word of God without the Bible. Firstly, we need a Bible then its reading is also necessary to speak it. If we say that only take a Bible at home is enough, then brothers and sisters, I will like to emphasize the reading of the Bible as well. Some people have this precious treasure but they do not know its importance. They keep it away and get busy in their life. Here I want to shake you forcefully. Please open your eyes; listen to the Word of God; try to understand its importance. These days are not long-lasting, ending days are coming very speedily. Don’t waste your time in thinking.

It is written in Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

Independent Evangelical Ministries outreach evangelistic team visit the newly repentant, Baptized and unreached areas people and follow-up frequently to new believers who don’t have personal Bibles and provide them the essential guidelines to make them understand the truth from it.
