We IEM arrange six months of batch bi-annually to empower women.  Three teachers teach to roundabout twenty to twenty-five students. Specialized teachers teach dress making, clothes cutting, stitching; hand embroidery, cruchet and much more related to this. After completion of the batch, final exams are arranged which decide who can get certificates. Best performers are rewarded with gifts and scholarships and sewing machines. Qualified and competitive students are hired in future batches. Through this procedure, Independent Evangelical Ministries promotes their skills and help them to generate income.
Women’s empowerment is a very lengthy procedure. Women have to face different kinds of issues. Different women have different cases and stories of problems that they are facing in our society. The first need to empower a woman is safety. Independent Evangelical Ministries provides a safe and sound environment to all women in the class. No man can join these classes with them. We provide them a healthy and secure environment. 
See John 7:53-8:11 which explains about women empowerment, where all other men were threatening that adulterous woman to kill her by stoning, and motivating each other of stoning on religion ground; Jesus said, He who is without sin from all of you, let him throw the first stone on her. After hearing these words, they all went out one by one. Then Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From Now on, sin no more”. 
Same like above men, many people underestimate women. I will like to share reality base news of a wife whom his husband locked for one year in a small room. When she was rescued by an NGO, she could not walk properly at that time. I felt very bad for her. We can easily find many people who abuse their wives because they consider them a burden. We Independent Evangelical Ministries are trying to make them confident and courageous to fight with financial problems. Through this skill, they can earn money at home easily.  
What the Bible says related to women is very important. Today we must act according to the bible. Now, we will discuss some verses related to women empowerment;

“The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears her down.” Proverbs 14:1
 “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” Proverbs 31:30
“She is clothed with strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future.” Proverbs 31:25
“A gracious woman gains respect, but ruthless men gain only wealth.” Proverbs 11:16
“She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” Proverbs 31:26
“You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. This is how the holy women of old made themselves beautiful.” 1 Peter 3:4-5
Proverbs 31:10 “A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.” 

I hope you have understood how the Lord gives respect and empowerment to women.

We Independent Evangelical Ministries are also putting our effort to empower women.  Proverbs 31:10-31 explains noblewomen who act according to Lord’s will. Following are some work or qualities of a noblewoman which explained in proverbs;

“She seeks wool and flax, and works eagerly with her hands”. Many women do not like to do the work of their home even. But the noblewoman works eagerly with her hands. 
She is like the merchant ships. She brings her bread from afar. 
She rises while it is yet night, gives food to her household.
She considers a field and buys it. 
She plants a vineyard with the fruit of her hand.
She perceives that her merchandise is profitable.
She makes linen garments and sells them, and delivers shahs to the merchant. 

Christian Sewing center is working on a vision to empower women and girls so that they can help their families financially using their clothing skills and, they may become noblewomen as per God’s desire. We train women with practical knowledge of cloth cutting, stitching, and hand embroidery to empower them financially; and we arrange prayer meetings, food fellowships, and group sharing of the word of God to modify them as God wants for his bride. In these meetings, many women share their experiences of modification through word of God, which encourage and enlighten other women for making better decision in their lives as per the word of God. Independent Evangelical Ministries
